The things people ask us first.

What exactly am I signing up to?

A power purchase agreement (PPA). Milvado installs and owns the solar and battery system on your building, and you agree to buy the electricity it generates at an agreed per-unit rate, set below what you'd pay the grid. You only pay for the power you actually use.

Do I have to pay anything to get it installed?

No. Milvado funds, owns and insures the whole system. There's no capital cost, no equipment to buy and no maintenance bills. You contribute the roof space and your demand — nothing more.

Is it actually cheaper than my current supplier?

That's the point — but it depends on your current contract, so we never promise a number blind. Before you commit, we compare the PPA rate against your actual tariff so you see the saving in writing. If it doesn't beat your grid price, we'll tell you.

What happens if my lease ends or I move out?

The system belongs to the building, not to you, and the agreement is structured to handle a change of occupier. We work this through with you and the building owner up front, so there are no surprises later.

Who owns and maintains the panels and batteries?

Milvado does, for the full term. We monitor performance remotely and handle all servicing, repairs and insurance. The equipment is our responsibility, not yours.

Will my power supply still be reliable?

Yes. Your building stays connected to the grid throughout, so supply is never at risk. The solar and battery simply supply your power first, with the grid seamlessly making up any shortfall.
